Some AirPods Have Battery Drain Issues With Charging Case

Tim Cook wandered into the New York Stock Exchange this morning and started taking questions about his holiday plans, product sales, and AirPods. "Analysts said that Apple is facing a battle to convince consumers to switch to wireless headphones after controversially scrapping the headphone jack on the new iPhone 7", which was reported two months back in The Guardian. Based on Cook's comments on Wednesday, high demand seems to be at least part of the reason. The limited shipments were sold quickly - ship dates are now six weeks out on Apple's website. Cook's answers were vague regarding how was Apple doing it during the holidays and how the AirPods were performing in the market. When asked if more would come into stock, he said Apple's "making them just as fast as we can".

The AirPods were announced in September along with the iPhone 7 but finally reached the shelves on December 13, just before Christmas.

Apple promised that the AirPods would hold 4-5 hours of charge on their own and that the charging case would hold an additional 24 hours of charge.
