Former Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Kelvin Beachum announced on Friday evening he would be signing with the New York Jets, via Twitter.

The Jets also re-signed long snapper Tanner Purdum, who has been with the team since 2010.

Details of the contracts weren't immediately available.

Beachum is No. 76 on the list.

According to CNBC , co-founders Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy each made $384 million from the sale of their shares. This puts the company's valuation at $24 billion, and allowed it to raise around $3.4 billion in funding.

"Just a blessing to keep playing football, a blessing to be at a great organization", Beachum said in the video.

As you can see, this is really a two-year contract, because Beachum has $4 million of his 2018 salary guaranteed, which will make it hard for the Jets to cut him after 2017 if he struggles.

In recent weeks, the Jets released three starters along the offensive line: center Nick Mangold, OT Breno Giacomini and OT Ryan Clady. "I already know the chant, baby". Until Friday, the team had been cutting players, and not signing anyone, causing the fan base to grumble.

A former seventh-round pick out of SMU, Beachum signed a one-year, $5 million deal with Jacksonville last year, which could have extended out to a four-year, $40 million contract had the Jaguars kept him under contract. Beachum appeared in 15 games a year ago for the Jaguars, playing 1,023 snaps, and spent the previous four seasons in Pittsburgh. This is Okung's Chargers deal: four years, $53 million, with $25 million guaranteed.
