The now-38-year-old actor, who had pleaded not guilty to Sutter's murder at his arraignment in October, filed a guilty plea in Lancaster, Los Angeles, on Thursday, KTLA5 reported.

Prosecutors said Medina stabbed Josh Sutter with a sword multiple times on January 31, 2015 as the two men argued about the actor's girlfriend at their apartment in Palmdale, north of Los Angeles.

The altercation became physical, and ended when Medina fatally stabbed Sutter multiple times with a sword, officials said.

Sentencing is set for March 30, and Medina could face up to six years in prison.

Donald Sutter, the victim's father, said his son could not be the aggressor.

Featuring a band of Power Rangers who draw on the power of the samurai, it was a big hit with kids across the globe.
