Police in the United States have charged a pregnant 27-year-old teacher with having an improper relationship with a 15-year-old pupil.
Katherine Ruth Harper is seen in a booking photo obtained by KTLA sister station KDAF. Police confirmed that he and Harper communicated frequently via cell phone, and the student saved the explicit photos on his phone.
District officials were first tipped off to an inappropriate relationship involving Harper in September, but the probe dissolved, in part because the tip didn't include a student's name.
According to the arrest warrant, the boy confessed to his principal at Byron Nelson High School where the boy attended that he had multiple sexual encounters with Harper.
One of the victims said he and the 29-year-old instructor had sex more than 10 times before he found out she was two-timing him with the second victim.
Harper allegedly taught the boy when he was younger, but he later moved schools.
Harper is now eight months pregnant - though the legal documents do not comment on the child's paternity.
The arrest warrant does not connect the 15-year-old student as the father of Harper's baby.
