Michigan State dismissed sophomore DE Auston Robertson after he was charged with criminal sexual assault.

The alleged assault took place on April 9 in Meridian Township, not far from the Michigan State campus in East Lansing.

The Ingham County Prosecutor's Office says Robertson has not been arraigned yet.

Neither Robertson nor Ingham County Prosecutor Carol Siemon returned messages seeking comment.

Former Michigan State University football player Auston Robertson has been arrested according to police.

Amazon Says It Will Bring 'Retail Offering' To Australia
Weber Shandwick's Laura Manninen told The New Daily that Amazon was actively looking for a "fulfilment centre" in Australia. While Amazon is rumoured to land in September, some web services could go live as early as July.

This incident is separate from an ongoing criminal investigation involving three football players and a staffer, all four of whom were suspended February 9. To answer the question on everyone's mind, he is not one of the three players involved in the other ongoing investigation and these charges are unconnected with that investigation, either.

The third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge is a felony and punishable up to 15 years in prison.

Robertson was suspended immediately by Spartan head football coach Mark Dantonio.

Robertson played in seven games last season as a freshman. A university spokesman said he remains a student. He also successfully completed his one-year diversionary program directed by the court, which included a 22-week course focused on behavior changes that began in IN and was transferred to the state of MI. The University officially accepted his NLI in late March of 2016.

Prosecutors have not yet charged anyone in that case. That alleged incident happened January 16 and the suspensions were handed out in February.
