Strategically, the company is bringing the full model change of Dzire first and the new Swift may come next year. Dzire contibute around 50% of vehicle sales in the segment.

The automaker Maruti Suzuki has launched its new generation Dzire at an in event on Tuesday.

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is based on Suzuki's B platform which Maruti brands as, "Heartect".

Powering the new Dzire is the same set of engines that were found on the previous generation model.

"The all new DZire has the looks and design of an authentic sedan". There are also three new colours on offer with the 2017 Dzire - Oxford Blue, Gallant Red and Sherwood Brown. On the other hand, Tata Tigor comes equipped with Dual-tone interiors with premium finishes, ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman, multi-functional steering wheel, ABS with EBD and CSC, fog lamps, rear parking assistance, dual airbags, 24-utility storage spaces, electrical boot unlocking and much more.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is scheduled to be launched in May, 2017.

The company claims that Dzire petrol has a fuel efficiency of 22 kmpl, while Diesel version has a fuel efficiency of 28.4 kmpl. Maruti starts offering the five-speed automated manual gearbox options from this trim onwards.

According to RS Kalsi, the new Maruti will be produced only at Manesar plant for now although there is sufficient capacity available at the Gurgaon plant as well.

The country's largest auto maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today launched an all new version of its compact sedan Dzire, priced between Rs 5.45 lakh and Rs 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The rear seats also get ISOFIX child anchorages. The feature list includes LED projector headlamps, DRLs, reverse parking sensors, reverse parking camera, SmartPlay infotainment system with built-in navigation support and voice command (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay enabled), push button start/stop with smart key, automatic climate control, auto headlamps, rear AC vents and electronically adjustable/foldable ORVMs.

Next in line are the VXI and VDI trims. It can be opted in a total of 4 trim levels - LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi and ZXi+/ZDi+.
