Starting at Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas or La Rambla is a tree-lined promenade that divides the old quarters of the city into two. Along this walk there are numerous kiosks, flower stands, coffee shops and different shops, but the highlight of this area is the Teatre del Liceu along with the market of La Boqueria, two emblems of the city. The Liceu is a theater of more than 150 years of antiquity and one of the most important in the world through which have passed an endless number of famous artists interpreting the most prestigious works. On the other hand, La Boqueria is a very old market where you can find all kinds of fresh produce in a lively and crowded environment.

The Passeig de Grácia is an avenue famous for the presence of shops and modernist architecture. In it you can find authentic works of art of architecture like the Casa Milá of Antoni Gaudí, a building of more than 100 years in which the curved forms predominate as much in front as in the ceiling. The Casa Batlló, also by Gaudí, is also a reflection of the creativity and detail of the Catalan architect. Casa Lleó Morera, signed by the also famous architect Lluís Domenech i Montaner, is a majestically decorated building. Next to La Casa Amatrell, these World Heritage buildings make the Passeig de Gracia a must-visit.
