The adviser under scrutiny is not named but described as someone close to Trump.

White House officials have previously acknowledged contacts between Russian officials and Mr Kushner, as well as with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Apple is again said to make a visit to the White House in the coming weeks.

It is unclear how much the Saudis will be paying for THAAD, but Trump called it a "billion-dollar system" last month when the USA deployed the advanced missile defense radar to South Korea. It said the president then told Russia's foreign minister and ambassador that he "faced great pressure because of Russian Federation".

The woman said Harris later tried to touch her crotch when she travelled with him in a taxi as part of her work at the event. The woman denied that and said she did not know why she had left her brother out of her accounts.

Adding to the speculation surrounding Trump, the New York Times reported that during a meeting between the president and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, he told Russian officials: "I just fired the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation".

The report was published as Mr Trump travelled to Saudi Arabia on the first leg of a trip overseas that the White House hopes will shift attention away from the political firestorm triggered by his firing last week of former FBI Director James Comey.

James Comey, the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director fired by Trump, will testify in an open session of the US Senate Intelligence Committee in June, members of the committee confirmed on Friday. So he dialed up Hewson to ask her if the anti-ballistic missile system's price could be cut down, according to the report, which cited multiple unnamed administration officials. "And he offered a strategic overview of the Saudi-American relationship at the meeting this month, according to an agenda obtained by The New York Times". "He was at the table when his father-in-law hosted the deputy crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, at a lunch in the State Dining Room in March".

The White House responded to the New York Times by saying that Trump meant to tell the Russians about Comey, adding that the President thought the line would help open negotiations with Putin's delegation. And it appears Jared Kushner has the CEO's number.
