Dortmund 4-3 Bremen: Late penalty earns third place

Defender Marc Bartra returned to action for the first time since being injured in the attack on Borussia Dortmund's team bus as his side gained entry to the Champions League group stage.

Victory ensured Dortmund finished third in the final Bundesliga table, behind champions Bayern and RB Leipzig, with goalkeeper Roman Burki relieved to have booked automatic qualification into the group stage of the Champions League.

Spain centre-back Bartra, who joined Dortmund from Barcelona last June, was the only player to receive serious injuries in the blast.

When the club's interpreter pointed out that there was still the DFB Pokal final to play, Aubameyang added: "Say whatever you want".

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was delighted to claim the Torjagerkanone after scoring a brace in Borussia Dortmund's thrilling 4-3 Bundesliga win against Werder Bremen on Saturday.

China's Xi says willing to help end rift with South Korea
Chinese official media quoted Xi as saying China is committed to resolving any issues through dialogue and coordination . The South Korean leader had pledged to review the hasty deployment of THAAD at a golf course in central South Korea .

He was hoping to profit from a drop in the football team's share price as a result of the attack. Aubameyang scored one goal from open play and the other from the penalty spot.

Marco Reus also scored twice for the hosts while Bremen's Zlatko Junuzovic, Fin Bartels and Max Kruse netted for the visitors.

It left them two points clear of fourth-placed Hoffenheim, who drew 0-0 against Augsburg and will now go into the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Dortmund's season continues until next weekend when they meet Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Cup final on 27 May.
