We believe if previous GOP presidents occasionally had given as good as they got, the national media might not be so quick to treat them unfairly. Basically, you'd be forgiven for thinking Regina George had written Trump's latest tweet.

Mr Trump began his Saturday morning online with a tweet of support for cable news anchor Greta Van Susteren, who was sacked from MSNBC on Thursday.

The president lashed out at Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter Saturday.

She said that she had told Melania Trump about the procedure when the couple stopped by Mar-a-Lago on New Year's Eve. "I said no! Bad show", Trump tweeted. "This year, top White House staff members warned the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the President to have the story spiked". Scarborough told RedState he made NBC executives aware of the phone calls "in real time". When will this very bad behavior end?

"We ignored their (White House staffers) desperate pleas", Brzezinski and Scarborough wrote in the Washington Post.

Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, known as THAAD, an anti-missile system meant to counter any North Korean strikes. In May, North Korean state media accused the USA and South Korea of attempting to kill Kim Jong-un with biochemical weapons.

Earlier, Trump in his Thursday tweets mocked Scarborough and Brzezinski and called them "low I.Q.' and 'psycho".

He also suggested in a tweet that veteran ex-Fox journalist Greta Van Susteren, who left MSNBC this week, "was let go by her out of control bosses at @NBC & @Comcast because she refused to go along w/ 'Trump hate!'"

As of Saturday, President Donald Trump was still tweeting insults to Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, co-hosts of the MSNBC show "Morning Joe". "Putting aside Mr. Trump's never-ending obsession with women's blood, Mika and her face were perfectly intact, as pictures from that night reveal", they wrote. "I am shocked by something Donald Trump said". Trump's tweet came a day after a report by Page Six that CNN "flew into a panic on Friday after it accidentally aired a fake National Enquirer cover".

About two hours before his tweets, Brzezinski said on the show that "it's not normal behaviour" for any leader to be tweeting about people's appearances or to be bullying, lying, undermining managers and throwing people under the bus.

The president's most recent tweetstorm involved his rants against the hosts of a morning news show on MSNBC, a low-rated, far left-leaning network that has seen a bit of a resurrection only because of the president.
