With the new Spider-Man: Homecoming coming out this weekend, Feige made a decision to talk about the web-slinger's character arc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Holland follows in the footsteps of Tobey Maguire, who starred in Sam Raimi's original trilogy of Spider-Man movies, and Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man in the two Amazing Spider-Man reboot movies.

At one point, no less than three movie companies claimed they had the rights to make the movie, and one even promoted a version in pre-production with James Cameron (Titanic) directing and Tom Cruise or Leonardo DiCaprio starring.

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Feige talked about the how Spider-Man's arc will be broken up across the movies. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man.

Watts was probably planning on talking with Stan Lee anyway, but it seems as though Webb's advice suggested that he was already fairly confident in his successor's ability to deliver a good Spider-Man movie that could stand out on its own.

Will iPhone 8 ditch Touch ID entirely for facial recognition instead?
According to the analyst, Apple's next-generation OLED iPhone will indeed ditch the physical home button beneath the display. For now, Apple's public AR work is focused on ARKit, a software platform for developers to make AR apps for iPhones.

Tom has been thrilled about being part of the popular series by Marvel Comics.

Instead, the movie picks up (after a prelude introducing Michael Keaton as its not-terribly-inspired villain, the Vulture) where "Captain America: Civil War" left off. It is told in a way to appeal to the widest of audiences that are new to the super hero genre, fans of the MCU and hardcore fans of Spider-Man, who will appreciate all the "easter eggs" in the movie.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
