Former Manchester United Striker Close to West Ham Move

West Ham announced it has agreed to terms for the transfer of striker Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, with the Mexican global set to fly to London to agree personal terms and take a medical.

Hernandez also became Mexico's all-time top scorer in May, when he netted his 47th worldwide goal in the defeat against Croatia.

While West Ham hasn't been kind to Mexicans previously, Hernandez is set to change that and become a Hammers fan favorite.

And now, according to Sky Sources, Arnautovic has ironed out personal terms with the East London club, and is currently undergoing a medical.

"Chicarito" spent four seasons with Manchester United, where he scored 59 goals in 156 appearances, before going on loan to Real Madrid in the 2014/15 campaign. This number is good for a tie as the 19th-most among Premier League players.

The 29-year-old is familiar face to the Hammers supporters after impressing for Manchester United in the past.

The two leading contenders for his signature were named as London rivals West Ham and Tottenham, though Chelsea were also rumoured to be keeping tabs on the situation.

The knee injury he suffered during the Potter's 1-0 pre-season friendly win over Neuchatel Xamax did not scupper the deal and he can be expected to recover soon.
