Alcohol level: 11.5% Color: golden raisin, FEW (Fruit, Earth, Wood), aromas: pear, green apple, oak, floral, savory, sage and kiwi, flavors: honey, tart granny apples, pear, slightly mineral. Body: medium. Sugar level: off-dry. Acid: medium. Rating, 1-5 (low-high): 5. Price: $ 12.

2012 Hess Select Suavignon Blanc. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, North Coast AVA, CA-USA. Alcohol level: 13.5%. Color: pale yellow. FEW (Fruit, Earth, Wood), aromas: grapefruit, meyer lemon and honeysuckle, flavors: pear, apples, tart, slightly mineral, short finish and green herbal aftertaste. Body: medium. Sugar level: dry.
