The three IL men "assassinated" in a triple homicide Sunday night at Great Lakes Dragaway were all members of a gang, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said in a Monday afternoon press conference.

Beth said the shootings were at close range and the victims were distinct targets.

"My basic conversation with them is they have no idea what caused this", Beth said, via the Sentinel.

Sheriff David Beth urged any witnesses to the shooting to contact his department. "It didn't take us long to get everybody to leave", Malecki said.

Several thousand people were at the track at the time, which was evacuated.
