Barcelona sue Neymar over world record transfer to PSG

Barcelona will sue Neymar for breach of contract over his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Should Neymar - if the courts rule in the club's favor - be unable to pay, Barcelona has demanded that Paris-Saint Germain be made responsible for the completion of the payment.

The La Liga giants said on Tuesday that they wanted Neymar to pay back the bonus for a contract in October 2016 that tied him to the club through 2021.

It was sent to the Spanish football federation on August 11 with a wish for it to be forwarded to the French federation and FIFA.

The club is demanding 8.5 million euros in damages; and an additional 10% because of delayed payment. "The Club also requests Paris Saint-Germain take on responsibility for the payment of these fees if the player can not do so himself".

There was plenty of question before the Brazilian's departure of whether he would stay or go, with Barcelona fears temporarily calmed by Pique tweeting "He stays" after meeting with Neymar.

Four New Dragon Ball FighterZ Characters Confirmed
Dragon Ball FighterZ has transcended mere mortal Dragon Ball games and has ascended to be the game all others wish they were. Previously announced playable characters include Goku, Vegeta, Gohan , Cell, Frieza, Majin Buu, Trunks, Krillin, and Piccolo.

"It is noteworthy that this news was received with surprise, since the athlete completely fulfilled the contract then in force, with the full deposit of the amounts set out in the buy-out clause freely agreed with FC Barcelona for his release", Neymar's representatives said in a statement.

"FC Barcelona have taken these steps in order to defend their own interests after Neymar rescinded his contract with the club just a few months after signing a renewal until 2021".

However, the Catalan club allege that Neymar is in breach of contract now that he has left. "But with them [the board], no", Neymar said.

"I spent four years there and was very happy".

"I feel very happy and relaxed, I feel at home". But not with them. "For me, they are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca". "At the start, I was happy".
