This document provides installation instructions for Cisco Secure ACS 4.2 server. Step 1: Obtain the SSL Certificates

Step 1: Obtain the SSL Certificates / p>

The Symantec certificate will be sent by email. The certificate is included as an attachment (Cert.cer) and is also imbedded in the body of the email. The text file should look like:

- BEGIN CERTIFICATE--
[encoded data]

Make sure there are 5 dashes to either side of the BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END CERTIFICATE and that no white spaces, extra line breaks or additional characters have been inadvertently added.

NOTE: Symantec Trust Center account X.509 as a certificate format and copy only the End Entity Certificate .

Step 2: Download the Symantec Intermediate CA certificate

Select the appropriate Intermediate CA certificate for your SSL Certificate type. NOTE: To check the certificate you have purchased, follow the steps from this link: SO13499 Copy the Intermediate CA certificate and paste it into Notepad Make sure there are 5 dashes to either side of the BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END CERTIFICATE and that in white spaces, extra line breaks or additional characters have been inadvertently added. Save the file as intermediate.cer

ACS-1.nac.cisco.com.cer (server SSL private certificate) ACS-1.PrivateKey.txt (CA certificate)

Step 4: Set Up the ACS Certification Authority / p>

To set up the ACS certification authority and install the Symantec Root CA described in SO4785: In the navigation bar, click System Configuration . The ACS Certificate Setup page opens. Click ACS Certificate Setup . . The ACS Certificate Authority page opens as shown below. Restart ACS.
To restart ACS, choose System Configuration & gt; Service Control and then click Restart .

Step 5: Edit the Certificate Trust List NOTE: After you set up the ACS certification authority, you must add the CA certificate to the ACS Certificate Trust list. The requested resource (/ infocenter / apps / infocenter / custom / components / content / index) is not available
