The Zoo carries out the following wildlife conservation programs.

Binational Recovery Program of Mexican Gray Wolf

Objective: To preserve and recover the subspecies of Mexican Gray Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi), which is in serious danger of extinction, as well as study their physiology and behavior.

Borrego Cimarrón Assisted Reproduction Project

Repopulation for the preservation of Cimarrón Borrego, as well as knowledge of its physiology and life cycle through biotechnology and transplantation of embryos.
