So far, it's tied for Rotten Tomatoes' highest-rated superhero movie ever and is the highest-grossing solo superhero movie at the USA box office.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film accomplished the feat on Saturday after landing somewhere north of The Avengers previous record-holding figure of $624.3 million at the domestic box office.

Black Panther won its fifth consecutive weekend this past week over new releases A Wrinkle in Time and Tomb Raider, marking the first time any movie has won five straight weekends at the box office since Avatar in 2009. (Box Office Mojo, however, hasn't updated its rankings yet.) The Avengers grossed $623.4 million back in 2012, and Black Panther should rake in $630 million by the end of this weekend.

It is a very quiet place, and there are a variety of songbirds and forest , as well as a good colony of griffon vultures.

While Panther may be dethroned this week, moviegoers still have plenty of time to see T'Challa in action for weeks to come, including in the forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War alongside the likes of Iron Man and Thor when the film debuts on April 27th. The Ryan Coogler-directed saga has also become one of seven movies ever to gross $600 million or more domestically. Presale tickets for that film are already selling at a higher rate than any superhero film ever. It only needs a couple million dollars more to do so, which it's expected to earn by the end of this weekend, if not by Monday at the absolute latest. The question now is, can it top Jurassic World ($652.2 million) and Titanic ($659.3 million)? The Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron, is the next one down on the list, with a total domestic box office of $459 million.

The movie, which cost $200 million to make before marketing, was a bold move on the part of Disney and Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige.
