He said that during a recent visit to a doctor, he was told, "Listen, the stress is killing you, what are you doing?" and he replied, "Listen, I'm just doing what I love, and that's playing football".

The announcement came after Incognito revealed his intention to retire through a series of tweets and comments made to several publications throughout the morning. King followed up with another saying that Incognito is talking to the Bills about revisiting his deal and has until Sunday to change his mind about calling it a career. "Nothing I can't restore with some balance, but the stress is killing me". Incognito has started at left guard for the Bills for the past three seasons.
