Four communities are getting ready to evacuate

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office has ordered evacuations for several communities near the Tinder Fire.

More than 500 firefighters and personnel are assigned to battle the Tinder Fire, which was sparked east of Clints Well on Friday.

A large animal shelter has been opened at Holbrook Navajo County Fairgrounds. The fire is now zero percent contained and a Type 1 team has been ordered to assume command.

The Arizona wildfires are still now blazing through a major part of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Fort Apache, and the San Carlos Indian Reservations. "While it should be light, rising dew points will help to subdue fire activity, especially overnight".

Vehicles such as bulldozers, cranes, fire engines, and helicopters have already been dispatched to the affected areas to assist in containing the fire.

Forest officials say smoke could move toward Highway 87 causing visibility issues and warns drivers to use caution in the area.

The weather pattern will continue to blow smoke from the Tinder Fire into southern Colorado through the day Monday and likely into Wednesday. No firefighter or evacuee injuries have been reported.
