You might need to cancel your weekend plans if you want to hit the top of the leaderboard: Epic says you'll need to play at least 50 Solo Showdown matches to get ranked, though only points from your first 50 will count towards your total score. It's not yet clear how the mode will work in terms of cross-platform play (whether iOS players are measured directly against console or PC players, or they get their own rankings). A new limited time event mode is going live as well, following up the exciting Avengers: Infinity War crossover, but this event is a bit different from all the others.

And today (May 17), the biggest potential competitor to Fortnite and PUBG yet has announced an upcoming battle royale mode: Call of Duty, one of the most popular franchises of the last decade. Get some practice knocked out in the standard solo queue in Fortnite Battle Royale, but make sure you get your 50 placement matches done before the end date.

When it comes to the scoring system, finishing first place within a match will award you 100 points while finishing 20th place within a match will award you 50 points.

So, if you think you're a good Fortnite player, this is your chance to prove it and possibly earn some in-game cash for your effort.

Rapper TI arrested outside his gated community
This led to an argument, during which T.I. reportedly asked, "Don't you know who I am?" before calling his friend to back him up. Rapper T.I. was arrested earlier Wednesday morning in Stock Bridge, Georgia, outside of his residence's gated community.

For those unaware, Jetpacks were initially set for inclusion in Fortnite during Season 3 of the title, but the item received an indefinite delay from Epic Games due to the developer having discovered an undisclosed flaw in its design. Everyone who completes 50 matches will receive a one-off spray.

First place will net a whopping 50,000 V-Bucks, which is enough to buy quite a few skins from Fortnite's shop. The mode will end on Monday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m.

Get ready to get sweaty as Fortnite gets a more competitive game type than ever before.
